Co-simulation of solar tracker based on ADAMS and Simulink

摘要To understand the performance of a solar tracker and to improve its design efficiency, the virtual simulation towards the working process of a solar tracker was accomplished by using software ADAMS and Simulink. First, the dynamics model of the solar tracker was constructed by using ADAMS. Then, the control system suitable for the double axis of solar tracker was established based on a speed closed loop by using Simulink. Thereafter, the co-simulation model was set up and the corresponding simulation was completed to determine the basic performance of control system. Finally, the target curve was input into the model, and the co-simulation was accomplished. The simulation results demonstrate that the system has excellent path tracking ability according to the sun elevation angle input curve. After 1.5 s tracking, the system becomes stable as well as the tracking error is less than 0.1% of the target value, which shows that the dynamics model and control system model are accurate and can provide a reliable basis for the development of actual physical prototypes.
