摘要 | To solve the problem that dressing of metal bonded diamond grinding wheels during the grinding process for a large aperture aspherical RB-SiC mirror, high pressure abrasive water jet dressing was investigated. The unused, worn and dressed grinding wheel topographies were observed and compared to analyze the wear and dressing mechanism. 3D surface roughness amplitude parameters of these topographies, which include Sp, Sq, Ssk, and Sku, were analyzed and comprehensive evaluated. The experiment results show that abrasive grains of the unused or the worn grinding wheel are increased and well protruded from binder after dressing, which will lead to a decrease of normal and tangential grinding force. The feed rate of nozzle have no significant effect on the 3D surface roughness of grinding wheel as the feed rate is between 0.5 to 16 m/min. The results verified the feasibility of high pressure abrasive water-jet in-process dressing of metal bond diamond grinding wheel. 2016, Science Press. All right reserved. |
