摘要 | A simple method was introduced to estimate the thermal focal length of LD-end-pumped composite Tm:YAG crystal at room temperature. When the pump power was 10.3W, the thermal focal length was about 545.2mm and 579.2 mm under the pump spot diameter of 480 mu m and 640 pm. To achieve stable oscillator and high output power, appropriately large pump spot was necessary. The parameter determined by this simple and easy method could help design the resonator.
