Calibration method of inner orientation parameters for mapping camera based on orthogonality of orientation matrix

摘要In order to eliminate the influence of precise rotating platform on the camera calibration accuracy in the inner orientation parameter calibration process of mapping camera in laboratory, an inner orientation parameter calibration method based on the orthogonality of orientation matrix is proposed. Firstly, the orthogonality of the orientation matrix is analyzed according to the coordinate transformation in the camera imaging model. Then, the inner orientation parameter calibration method based on the orthogonality of orientation matrix is described in detail. The variable matrices involved in the calibration process are analyzed and calculated, and the calibration steps are given as well. The accuracy of the proposed calibration method is analyzed using Monte-Carlo algorithm. The actual calibration results show that the principal point accuracy and principal distance accuracy obtained with the proposed method can reach to 3 m and 5 m, respectively in laboratory environment without using the precise rotating platform, which can meet the inner orientation parameter calibration accuracy requirement of mapping camera.
