摘要Vertically aligned ZnO (zinc oxide) nanorod arrays with a length of approximate 10 m were successfully prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis process. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The clear lattice fringes in the image of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy confirmed a single-crystal structure of ZnO nanorods with the growth direction along the [002] direction. A possible formation mechanism was proposed on the basis of the results of time-dependent experiments. In addition, the room temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of the nanorods showed a strong UV emission peak and length-dependent green emission. 2013 Published by Elsevier B.V.
