摘要	The title compound, [Ir(C11H8N)(2)(C12H12N2)]PF6, an iridium complex with two cyclometallated 2-phenylpyridine fragments and one 4,4 '-dimethyl-2,2 '-bipyridine unit, presents a distorted octahedral coordination geometry around the Ir atom. Charge balance is achieved through a hexafluoridophosphate anion. The coordination geometry of the two 2-phenylpyridine ligands around the Ir-III centre retains the cis-C-C and trans-N-N chelate dispositions.
